Neil made his debut as an opening bowler for Peterborough Town CC 1st XI age 15 years, playing in the Northants Premier League. He enjoyed 8 seasons at Peterborough with many highlights, including taking all 10 wickets against Barnack CC in the Jaidka Cup and playing for Northants CCC 2nd XI.  

After moving to Norfolk in 1989 he joined Swardeston CC where he still plays and is now director of Youth Cricket.

He has coached young cricketers for many years and is heavily involved in Norfolk Youth Cricket both as a coach and Chairman since 2007. In 2011 and 2012 he coached a Norfolk County Age Group to 2 successive National Finals at u14 and u15 level. 

 

He is an ECB Level 2 coach with first aid, safeguarding and DBS certificates.

Neil is a sports coach at Town Close School.
